About Us
Our founder, Angela Carley Allmon, has been in the interpreting industry for nearly fifteen years. Starting directly out of college as full time staff at a large agency taught many lessons and left a few scars. Life and family and a need for flexibility led to going for the leap to transitioning to full time independent contractor. Throughout a varied and rewarding career serving in the role as the interpreter identified gaps and disparities in the services for all people living with disabilities in our area.
Making a lasting positive impact in the place we live is a top priority for us at Interpreters on Demand. Creating meaningful connection is at the core of our commitment to communication access.
We are committed to an individualized and holistic approach to the interpreting process. We match clients needs to the interpreter skill set, not a volume for profit model.
At IoD our close connection with our deaf and hard of hearing clients, as well as our understanding of non native language users is what makes Interpreters on Demand ideally equipped to answer the local need for communication access.
